Gatin’Go, …

COMING SOON…

the storytelling festival that celebrates New American cultures and arts!

GatinGo, an annual inter-national storytelling fest of culture and arts, that celebrates the immigration now and then through a comprehensive plan spanning three days of activities and outreach.

Day 1 starts with welcoming international artists and immigrants, fostering connections between locals and newcomers. The afternoon features an opening ceremony with speeches, cultural performances, and an evening cultural exchange dinner.

Day 2 emphasizes community engagement with art workshops, panel discussions, and cultural showcases. These events raise funds through ticket sales.

Day 3 involves school outreach and culinary experiences, including cultural exchange programs in local schools and cooking workshops. The day concludes with a grand food festival open to the public.

Throughout the festival, an art exhibition, interactive installations, a children's area, a craft market, photo booths, and cultural information booths enhance the experience. Each year spotlights a different country with cultural exhibitions, traditional performances, and a "Taste of [Country]" food area.

Outreach efforts include collaboration with schools, immigrant support organizations, and community engagement programs. Volunteers play a vital role in organizing the festival, while logistics include choosing a suitable venue, promoting the event, selling tickets, and seeking local sponsors. Additionally, the festival plans to create a space for in-depth cultural discussions with representatives from the spotlighted country. This multifaceted approach aims to celebrate immigration while promoting cultural understanding and community cohesion.
